ABOUT THE AUTHORS:
- Daniela Scagliarini Corlàita, Full Professor of Roman Archaeology (Dipartimento di Archeologia, Università degli Studi di Bologna), project manager of the project of study, excavation and valorization of a city block in Pompeii, the Insula del Centenario (IX 8).
Among her main interests are the theoretical aspects of scientific 3D virtual reconstructions of Cultural Heritage; she's also project manager for the international project between the University of Bologna and UCLA of Los Angeles: "Compared methodologies for Virtual Reality applied to Archaeology".
- Antonella Coralini, Researcher (Dipartimento di Archeologia, Università degli Studi Bologna).
Since 1998, Scientific Secretary of the "Pompei - Insula del Centenario (IX 8) Project. She has focused her interest on the scientific and methodological aspects of Cultural Heritage 3D virtual reconstructions and on the study and valorization of archaeological areas. Actually she is working about the Roman housing and wall painting at Herculaneum and Pompeii.
- Erika Vecchietti (Dipartimento di Archeologia, Università degli Studi Bologna) received the Laurea degree in 2003.
Since 1999, she plays an active role among the team of the "Pompei - Insula del Centenario (IX 8) Project". Her thesis had the title: "Virtual Archaeology in Pompeii: issues of method and implementation".
